Know You Will

Well, what can I say, sometimes it isn’t as frequent as I would like, but maybe this is a good reminder even for myself to write out and let resonate with me. The song by Hillsong United - “Know You Will,” has really been stuck in my head recently. And this song was shared with me by my wife a while ago; ever since then, it has been one of my new favorite worship songs.
In the song, the lyrics sing reminders to us that even amongst the chaos, amongst the unknowns, amongst the things that scare us most. God already knows the answer. He has already figured that part out. And not only has He already figured it out, the chaos, the unknown, the fear that may be in front of you or me right now, He already knows because it was never once a surprise to You, as the song sings.
However, more recently, I have found myself singing this song more times. It has been my reminder to myself to stay strong no matter the circumstance and no matter the outcome. I know Christ has put me in a situation that He has made for me. It’s crazy, but literally just throughout the day I almost find myself in moments when I notice the chaos, unknowns, fears, and pressure situations, that I find myself just repeating the phrase Know You Will. And it is in those moments of repeating that lyric, I feel whatever it was I was feeling simply start to fall away. It’s that promise that God gives us, it’s in that simple reminder that we can find peace.
Even more so, as the song sings,
“You've been good on every promise
From Eden to Zion
Through every dead end
And out of that grave
I don't know how You make a way
But I know You will”
Every promise, from beginning to end, through everything we may have seen as lost or gone, He has ALWAYS made a way.
So what is it in our life that we need to surrender to the One who ALWAYS makes a way? What fears, or frustrations can we slowly start to let go of because Christ already has this situation and then the next one already figured out in the best way possible? He has already figured this out for us, we just need to remember that His way is better than our way, and we can rest assured Knowing He Will.
