Why One Way Home?

So, why One Way Home?

  Well this idea has actually been on my mind for a long time. When I was in college, I was blessed with a journal and it honestly was one of the best gifts I had ever received. Since that time I have been given countless more and each has been filled with different parts of my life. Some of the entries are just me getting my thoughts out on paper, while others have been from tough times in my life.

  I want this page to be exactly that. A place I can share with you all some of the things that have gone on in my life. Some of it being personal, some of it just being thoughts or dreams of mine that I have, or sometimes it could just be a question I'm looking to answer.

  But why, One Way Home?  The idea came to me when I was thinking about baseball and faith. In my years of playing baseball, there is only one way to get home. You have to round the bases. Sometimes that journey around the bases is easy, while sometimes you have your teammates move you around. Or maybe you do not even score at all. Just like in our faith, there is only One Way Home. As Christians, our life has to be aligned with the one God created for us. When we venture off the path God perfectly crafted for each and every one of us, that journey Home becomes much harder. That's not to say God is not with us through it all, but we may feel lost or forgotten.

  Well if we want to get Home - in baseball or in life - there's a journey/trip around the bases that we all must go through. And I just want to share with you all a bit of my journey as it unfolds...
